Easter Ideas in the classroom

Hi everyone
Easter is upon us, and we could always use some new/old songs and art activities for a brush up during this time of year. It’s nearly holidays so I’ll get straight to it!
Starting with:
The Bunny Hokey Pokey
Put your floppy ears in
Put your furry paws in
Put your Easter eggs in
Put your long whiskers in
Put your cotton tail in

Tune to Eency Weency Spider
The Hippoty Hopity Easter Bunny is coming straight at me.
Closer and closer he hops up on my knee.
Up to my shoulder the Bunny’s much to near.
Happy Happy Easter, he whispers in my ear.

Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Turn around.
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Touch the ground.
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Shine your shoes.
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny, Skidoo.

Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Go upstairs.
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Say your prayers.
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Turn out the light.
Easter Bunny, Easter Bunny,
Say good night.

Play “Who stole the Egg?”
Class: Who stole the egg from the Easter Basket?
Teacher: (Ann) stole the egg from the Easter Basket?
Ann: Who me?
Class: Yes you!
Ann: Couldn’t be!
Class: Then who?
Ann: (Tommy) stole the egg from the Easter Basket?
Tommy: Who me?
Class: Yes you!
Tommy: Couldn’t be!
Class: Then who? [Repeat]

Ten Little Bunnies
sung to Ten little Indians

One little, two little, three little bunnies,
Four little, five little, six little bunnies,
Seven little, eight little, nine little bunnies,
Ten little bunnies on Easter Day.

Tune to “Did you ever see a lassie”

Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny.
Did you ever see a bunny, wiggle his nose
He wiggles and giggles, and wiggles and giggles

Did you ever see a bunny, wiggle his nose
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny.
Did you ever see a bunny, flap his big ears
He flips them and flaps them, and flips them and flaps them,

Did you ever see a bunny, Flap his big ears.
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny.
Did you ever see a bunny, munch on his lunch!
He munches and crunches, and munches and crunches,

Did you ever see a bunny, munch on his lunch.
Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny.
Did you ever see a bunny, fluff his tail
He fluffs and flaps and fluffs and flaps
Did you ever see a bunny, fluff his tail

Tune to Twinke Twinke

Easter bunny soft and white
Hopping quickly out of sight.
Thank you for the eggs you bring
At Easter time we like to sing
Easter bunny soft and white
Hopping quickly out if sight

Yellow eggs and blue and red
In the grass and flower bed
We will find them everywhere
Is it really you who put them there?
Yellow eggs and blue and red
In the grass and flower bed

Tune to “Here we go round the mulberry bush”
This is the way the bunny hops, bunny hops, bunny hops
This is the way the bunny hops
On an Easter morning

This is the way he wiggles his nose….
This is the way he flops his ears
This is the way he wiggles his tail
