About

Hi, I’m Renata Jayne, the gal behind Love, Life and Little People. I’m a children’s storyteller, musician and educator, and I also help big kids take care of the little kids through speaking at conferences and in-service workshops.

I started off working with young children in 1991. Fifteen years after that I decided to do more with my passion for kids, stories, music and became a children’s entertainer of sorts, hitting the road with shows that the kids are still loving today.

It’s a great life and I love what I do! So far I’ve presented for more than 120 000 kids in more than 1000 different places in Australia (and a few of them in Africa too). My boots, guitar and suitcases have been spotted by kids prep to grade 3, in vacation care and OSHC programs, at festivals, fetes and events and in shopping centers… anywhere from the gold coast to Toowoomba to the Sunshine coast, and occasionally in regional centers.

Different shows concentrate on specific issues and they’re all written to make a lasting impression. I help prepare kids for the world by rousing their awareness of different cultures, helping them understand social and family issues, and empowering their little souls with the knowledge they are active participants in their world. I have fun, musical shows for just about anything kids need to know, including some to compliment national campaigns like Two Fruits, Five Veggies.

Speaking, Conferences and In-service Workshops

I also teach grown up kids! There are workshops on music, drama and storytelling for kids for

  • early childhood educators of all sorts
  • family daycare and childcare associations
  • indigenous communities
  • environmental organisations
  • health departments

and more – just ask. I have huge experience in storytelling, music, drama and concepts like multiculturalism.
